JPay lets, for instance, friends and family members to transfer money directly into an inmate’s trust account. They can also send videos, photos, emails, and eCards. They can also create personalized postcards using their own images. It's a safe and more secure alternative to traditional postal mail.
Another popular texting app for inmates is GettingOut which provides "simple and reliable communication" between inmates and their loved ones. The app is accessible at select correctional facilities and allows prisoners to upload images and text messages to family members and friends on their tablets.
